Climate Change's Impact

The environmental concern collective is made up of individuals who are concerned with the increasing threats to humanity with the changes in climate. The effect of climate change is not just something that has appeared in the last few years. The world has gone though cycles of rising temperatures and sea levels and at periods the opposite. Today the world is facing again rising sea levels and temperatures and the effect on human communities has been disastrous in an increasing number of cases. Coastal and island communities been forced to migrate due, not to just rising water, but also to the increase in the frequency and numbers of storms, which are tearing apart both the physical aspects of a community as well as the social aspects. The problem is not limited to the coastal areas but rather entire communities have been burned out in fires that are burning through more and more of the land. This is not just happening in developing nations, but also, here in the United States and in Europe. The threats of climate change are a global issue, and the migration of these threats require a global solutions. In this section we have images from areas around the world to show the damage to a variety of community and with some brief accounts from people effected. In the next section we will demonstrate some of our ideals on procedures to help mitigate the effects of climate change and help restore communities to a sustainable future.

You will find, in the last page of this web page, further information on climate change. We have listed some web pages of groups involved and an bibliography of titles on the topics of climate change. You will also find videos and a list of our publications.
